These are the products Indian schools usually shortlist alongside us. We have left their columns empty on purpose — we are not going to tell you what someone else’s software does when we would only be guessing, and a page trying to sell you something owes you better than that.
Here are the twelve questions that actually separate school software, and our answer to each. Print it, take it into every demo you book, and fill the rest in yourself. Ours included.

What you are really choosing between
Registers and Excel
It works, it is free, and everyone already knows how. It also cannot tell you who has not paid without someone spending an evening on it, and it forgets who changed what.
Choose it if your school is small enough that one person holds the whole picture in their head.
A large established ERP
Deep, proven, and used by many schools. Usually costs more, takes longer to set up, and asks your office to work the way the software works.
Choose it if you need something specialised we do not have, and you have the budget and patience for it.
Several single-purpose apps
One for fees, one for messaging, one for classes. Each is good alone; together they leave your student list in three places and disagreeing.
Choose it if you only have one problem and do not intend to solve the others.
